Meet Luna

We share our home with the nit-pickiest dog on this planet. Yeah, yeah, I know, I’ve heard it from others, “Oh no, MY dog is the pickiest you’ve ever seen.”  Well you haven’t met Luna.

Luna will eat just about anything once, with vigor even. Give it to her a second time and 99 times out of 100 she’ll turn away from it. Nope, doesn’t matter what it is: beef, beefalo, buffalo, chicken, ostrich, iguana… OK, maybe not iguana. But that’s how it is with her. Once she’s had something, she doesn’t want it again.

I ignored it when she first showed a finicky behavior.

I did.

Really.

For a day.

Which, honestly, is pretty good, I think.

So… I started making a sauce to put on her food. It worked, now she’ll eat her kibble.

The sauce is a rich beef broth made from marrow bones, beef chunks, carrots and chicken. When the broth is finished, we have leftover meat solids that are a true treat when they are incorporated into biscuits. I would give away extras to friends and family and before long they would be asking for more.

So they got more. And shared with their friends and families and suddenly everyone is asking where can I buy these?
